Mark Tyson Caps Off 2014 Season
On Confident Note
Berwick,
PA (10/28/14)- Mark Tyson of Hatboro, PA has had a racing season that’s
been absolutely filled with trials and tribulations. From battling
health issues most of the season, following by the closing of his home
track half way through the year, he kept his head held high and was
determined to return to the wheel of his #22 FireHouse Chevy Impala.
Tyson was able to make a comeback later in the year and last Saturday
night competed in the annual “OctoberFast” event at Mahoning Valley
Speedway in Lehighton, PA.
Tyson began the afternoon with a practice session and he wasn’t
totally happy with his car, which forced him to make a few slight
adjustments. The changes helped a lot and he had a good run in his
qualifier. He began the feature and started to work his way through the
pack early on but a few drivers in front of him tangled and collected
Tyson.
After pitting for quick repairs, green flag racing resumed and
again, Tyson started to make his way back, but that all ended on lap 27
when nearly the same scenario took place, but this time the air box on
the car, which draws air to cool the radiator, got damaged and the
engine temp started to climb, forcing Tyson to save the motor and end
his night but not his outlook on the season.

Mark Tyson Scores Top 10 at Mahoning Valley
Speedway
Berwick, PA (10/5/2014)- This past Saturday, Mark Tyson of Hatboro,
PA took his #22 FireHouse/WARRANT Chevy Impala stockcar to the
Mahoning Valley Speedway in Lehighton, PA for some door-to-door
action. Tyson managed to pull off a tenth place finish at the
quarter mile bullring.
“The car was a little loose in practice so the team snugged it
up a bit for the
heat race and feature”, noted Tyson, who has battled with illness
through the latter half of the season.
“Mahoning is a challenging place and things happen really quickly
there.”
“All in all it was a good day”, he said. “The car’s in one piece
and we learned just a little bit more about Mahoning. It’s a learning
experience running there, more seat time at this track will certainly
help. It’s always fun though, tons of energy and good people…a very
thriving racetrack.”

FireHouse and Tyson Racing was an Overnight
Sensation at Penn’s Peak
Jim Thorpe, PA (9/7/14)- It’s not often that Mark Tyson, his team and a
multiplatinum band have the opportunity to get together for one of their
cross promotional efforts. However, the stars aligned last Friday
evening and Tyson, driver of the #22 FireHouse Chevy Impala and his race
team met up with the band at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA before their
show. The racecar was on display for concertgoers to see and the event
was a proven success for all parties involved.
Tyson was excited prior to the show and even more fired up after
FireHouse took to the stage in an incredible performance.
"I can’t thank my DSP (Dirty South Posse) teammates enough for
getting the car ready for the show. Special thanks go out to Mitch Hawk,
Dan Pawlicki and Rich Pachiotti. The not only teammates, but also true
friends."
He was overwhelmed with the response from the folks that came to
the show to see not only FireHouse, but Winger as well, and of course
Tyson, who loves that genre of music, stayed for the entire show.
"What an awesome night we had with bringing the #22 Firehouse
Chevy out to Penn’s Peak to rock out- what a blast! I want to thank the
great folks at Penn’s Peak for having us. We felt incredibly welcomed at
an incredible venue to come see a show!"
Of course the event wouldn’t have been possible without support
from Penn’s Peak and of course a tremendous amount of support from the
band itself.
"Special thanks to CJ Snare, Michael Foster, Bill Leverty and
Allen McKenzie of Firehouse”, noted Tyson. “They’re true class-act
rockers and I'm blessed to be a part of this!"
Tyson will be back on track soon at Mahoning Valley Speedway in
Lehighton, PA. He also hopes to compete in an event at Jennerstown
Speedway in western, PA before the 2014 season comes to a close.

Tyson Racing Chevy Impala Headed to FireHouse Show at Pennsylvania's
Penn’s Peak
Berwick, PA (9/2/2014)- In a racing season that’s been
filled with both ups and downs, Mark Tyson and his Tyson Racing team are
excited about bringing his #22 FireHouse Chevy Impala Stockcar to the
upcoming FireHouse show with Winger on Friday, September 5th
at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA.
“We’ve gotten together with
great people over the last two years”, said Mark Tyson as he recalled
the cross-promotional efforts that he and his team helped put together
the last few seasons.
“Last season we teamed up
with WARRANT and Erik Turner Wines. In addition to them, this season we
also connected with the group FireHouse, and it’s going to be great to
have the racecar at one of their shows. Both me and my team are looking
forward to it and I really hope that the guys in the band and also the
concertgoers are equally as excited to see the car, which in my opinion-
rocks!”
Tyson and his team have had
an up and down season. Early on, Tyson was diagnosed with health issues
and during that time his Crew Chief, Mitch Hawk filled in as the driver.
Tyson has since returned to the wheel for one race and hopes to compete
in a few more shows this season, including at Mahoning Valley Speedway,
which is located only a few miles from Penn’s Peak. He also plans to
make a showing at Jennerstown Speedway in western, PA and also at
Clearfield, which is near State College, PA.
His #22 FireHouse Chevy
Impala will be set up in the Parking lot at Penn’s Peak prior to the
start of the show, which is slated for 8 PM. Tyson will be available for
autographs and of course folks will have the opportunity to take
photographs of the racecar.

Mark Tyson Returns to the Wheel; Finishes 11th at the Fastest
1/4-mile
(8/9/2014)- After being sideline by illness for some
time, Mark Tyson of Hatboro, PA returned to the driver's seat of the
#22 FireHouse/WARRANT I Saw Red Chevy Monte Carlo. The day started
off great and he brought home a solid third place finish in the heat
race Saturday night at the Mahoning Valley Speedway in Lehighton,
PA.
Unfortunately, Tyson got caught up in a wreck early on and had to salvage an
11th place finsih.
Late Model veteran Paul Koehler Jr., was able to
withstand the side-by-side duel behind him of Earl Paules and
Frankie Althouse which then netted him his second win of the ’14
season.
Koehler started second and outdid Jeremy Miller at
the drop of the race commencing green. Before long Paules was on his
tail and soon after Althouse joined the battle. From then on it was
all three running in tight formation.

Mitch Hawk Finishes Eighth at the Bull Ring
Berwick, PA (7/21/2014)- In his second start of the
season and first start of the season at the track in the Tyson Racing
#22 FireHouse/WARRANT/I Saw Red Chevy Impala, Mitch Hawk of Saylorsburg,
PA ended up finishing eighth Saturday night at Mahoning Valley Speedway
in Lehighton, PA.
Hawk and the team began the day with a practice
session and thought for sure that the had a top five car to compete with
on the ¼-mile asphalt bull ring.
He had an excellent run going until he was
collected in a lap 23 incident that cost him a shot at a solid top five
finish. Fortunately, the team was lucky in a sense and the damage on the
car was not signifigant.
“I’m really proud of Mitch and the guys today”,
noted Mark Tyson, who normally competes in the ride and was sidelined
due to medical reasons. Full Story
Mitch Hawk Finishes Second in First Stock Car Start of
the Year
Berwick, PA (6/8/2014)- In his first start of the season
in the Tyson Racing #22 FireHouse/WARRANT/I Saw Red Chevy Impala, Mitch
Hawk of Saylorsburg, PA ended up finishing off Friday night with a near
win and second place victory at Evergreen Raceway Park in St. Johns, PA.
Hawk led the field to the drop of the green flag in the feature. Steve
Shultz stayed glued to the leaders bumper and the pair ran side by side
for the majority of the event, showing that both drivers were equally
matched in both talent and horsepower.
After racing hard
into turn one and then bringing out the yellow flag with one lap
remaining, Shultz took the lead and led the final and most important lap
to score his first win in the division.
Car owner
and usual driver, Mark Tyson, was at the show in support of his team and
great supporters, which include

Therapy, Municipal Valve & Equipment, Valve Tech Sales, WARRANT,

potentially serious conditions that will require mandatory treatment and
probable surgery in the very near future. It has been mandated that he
climb out of the driver's seat until a full recovery has been made and
receives physician clearance to return to the racetrack.
“I wasn’t feeling well at all for some time and the fatigue

me to go to the doctor”, said Tyson Monday evening.

Tyson Out Early in Evergreen Main Event
(May 18, 2014)- After winning the heat race earlier in the day, Kyle
Harvell started from the pole and led the Late Model field to the drop
of the green in the 30-lap feature. As the field entered turn one,
something appeared to break on Mark Tyson’s car and he drifted up the
track and into Steve Shultz. With nowhere to go, Geno Steigerwalt was
also collected and towed by to the pit area, along with Tyson. Shultz
headed to the pits for repairs and rejoined the event.
Green flag racing resumed and Harvell stayed out front. With
seven laps completed Shultz, Paul Koehler, Jr, Jake Nemeth and Josh
Oswald pursued him. However, the action slowed on lap 13 when Koehler
spun in turn two.
Following the restart, Shultz began to apply pressure on Harvell.
After getting the leader sideways on a few occasions, Shultz took the
top spot on lap 18. Two laps later Harvell applied a little pressure of
his own to Shultz and took him around as the raced through turns three
and four on lap 20. The change of events gave the lead to Koehler.

Tyson Racing Adds
FireHouse to 2014 Campaign
Berwick, PA
(1/16/2014)- Tyson Racing and Tyler Jett Motorsports Marketing, LLC are
both excited and proud to announce that rock-n-roll band, FireHouse, are
onboard for the 2014 asphalt racing season with Tyson Racing and its
driver, Mark Tyson, of Hatboro, PA.
Coming off a terrific 2013 season with a second place finish in
the points standings at Mountain Speedway (will be named Evergreen
Raceway Park in 2014), Mark Tyson is more than pumped about the year
ahead.
“We had a great season last year and really got noticed in many
areas. This year we have a couple of cars and plan to travel more, both
with the #22 FireHouse car and also with the #22 WARRANT/Erik Turner
Wines car. It’ going to be awesome”.
FireHouse is well-known for a number of classic hits dating back
to the early 90s with ‘Don’t Treat Me Bad’, ‘Love of a Lifetime’,
Overnight Sensation’ and many others. Consisting of band mates CJ Snare,
Bill Leverty, Michael Foster and Allen McKenzie, the group continues to
sell out shows and have a huge following of fans that span at least two
generations.
At the 1992 American Music Awards, FireHouse won the award over
Nirvana and Alice in Chains for Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock New
Artist.
There’s no doubt that Tyson racing will continue to showcase
WARRANT and Erik Turner Wines as well, as the two talented groups, have
a strong relationship that dates back to over 20 years ago, when they,
along with the band Trixter, rocked stages across the world on the
‘WARRANT Cherry Pie Tour’.
“I’m so excited that this whole deal came about”, said Tyson.
“If you would have asked me 25 years ago if I would be involved with
such talented people and that we would both work together, mind you, in
racing, to help promote the mix or racing and rock-n-roll, I would have
told you that you were insane”.
With a laugh Tyson said, “Well, welcome to 2014- we’re all
insane”.
Both, the #22 WARRANT/Erik Turner Wines and the #22
FireHousemusic.com Late Model Stock Cars will be unveiled in the
